New normality

It's clear that the new normality is a little bit strange and it's affecting our lives. It looks like a science fiction film: all of us wearing a mask, cleaning our hands, distances...

This crazy situation started for us when the coronavirus or the COVID-19 arrived in the Basque Country. First, they decided to close a school in Vitoria. Two days later, the Basque Government announced that all schools in Gipuzkoa, Araba and Biscay would close for two weeks. So, we went home for "two weeks".

Then, we stayed at home for 3 months. What a mess. The Spanish government was giving orders and the governments of the autonomous communities couldn't do anything.

We are criticizing all the time what the governments and the politicians are doing, but, what we would do if we were politicians in a pandemic situation? I think some things could change but I'm happy with the orders' they are giving.

Nowadays, we are waiting for the vaccine that all the world wants. Scientists of all the world are trying to be the first, but, they are saying that to produce a vaccine we have to wait a long time.

So, we are going to school every day with a mask and cleaning hands, but I think it is better than the video calls at home. Let's continue like this, and we won't go home again. 😷
